CBC News: Manitoba man inherits trove of famous author Robert Bloch’s belongings

Robert Unik, who lives near Winnipeg, inherited a large collection of letters, documents, photos and autographed books that belonged to famed writer (and major SF fan), Robert Bloch. Unik’s great-aunt Elly was born in Manitoba, became a model, moved to Los Angeles, and married Robert Bloch.

Some programming topics Pemmi-con hopes to showcase include paleontology from a world-class expert, comics from an inductee into the Canadian Comic Book Creator Hall of Fame, a “Freya’s Fabulous Birthday Bash” fundraiser for a local pet rescue charity, a Masquerade and Manitoba-style social, a dance competition, public portfolio critiques, and free-to-play pinball machines!
