Costumes and Large Props

The Pemmi-Con committee reserves the right to deem a costume unacceptable and to request the wearer to make changes or not wear the costume.

The Hotels and function spaces require that you wear footwear. Bare feet are not permitted except at the pool or your own hotel room.

If your costume is very large, consider where you wish to display it. It may be more appropriate for the Masquerade or you may need assistance to ensure your costume does not get damaged. At the same time, your costume cannot block access to programme rooms or aisleways or other public spaces.

If you have a need for assistance to move your costume from one place to another, come into the Operations Office and we will attempt to obtain or provide assistance.

At Pemmi-Con, we acknowledge we are gathered on Treaty 1 Territory and that Manitoba is located on the Treaty Territories and ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations.
We acknowledge Manitoba is located on the Homeland of the Red River Métis.
We acknowledge northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit.
We respect the spirit and intent of Treaties and Treaty Making and remain committed to working in partnership with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people in the spirit of truth, reconciliation, and collaboration.
