The Pemmi-Con programme schedule and programme participants are here: Schedule, Speakers.

If you log in to the programme site with the same email address you used to register with Pemmi-Con, you will see a green “Registered” button at the top of the page.

When you are logged in, you can favorite programme items you are interested in, and the site will remember them.

Also when you are logged in, you will be able to join hybrid programme items virtually.

Hybrid Programme

Pemmi-Con has a hybrid programme. Our goal is to bring all our members, those physically in Winnipeg and those participating online, into a shared experience of our programme, with opportunities for interaction for everyone.

Virtual members will have access to the hybrid programme online. Attending members will also have access. Virtual memberships are available now at registration.

If you have questions, please contact programme@pemmi-con.ca.

Gaming

If you’ve been to Keycon, then you know Winnipeg has lots of gaming to offer fandom. Staff from Game-iToba, Winnipeg’s own gaming convention, will be on hand with their full gaming library for your enjoyment. Sign-up sheets will be available for those who want to schedule gaming sessions.

Pemmi-Con will also be following Keycon tradition with a pinball tournament. For those interested in a less competitive approach, the machines will also be available to play on outside of tournaments.

If you have any questions, please contact gaming@pemmi-con.ca.

Masquerade

The Pemmi-Con masquerade will be held on Saturday evening July 22, 2023. It will be one of the major events of the convention.

Virtual Entries — If you are attending virtually, or in person but you don’t have space to pack your whole costume, or something happened so your whole group won’t be there, think about entering virtually. Pemmi-Con is accepting virtual entries to this year’s masquerade. The rules are simple. Fill out the on-line entry form, record your presentation complete with music and voice over. The recording cannot be longer than one minute long. Send it to us. It will be played during the masquerade. Any questions, drop me a line at masquerade@pemmi-con.ca.

If you are a costumer, cosplay person, or someone just interested in making costumes, please feel free to enter. You can enter online now, using this form: Masquerade Entry Form. Or you can wait until the convention and enter in person at the masquerade desk. Masquerade registration will be open until 1 PM on Friday, the day before the event. Runthroughs will be on Saturday.

If you have any questions, please send a query at masquerade@pemmi-con.ca.

Music and Filking

Pemmi-Con will have music and filk programming, and a dedicated filk room in the Delta Hotel.

See the Filk Music Concerts schedule. Also check out the Filk Musicians page to see some of the great musicians and filkers coming to Pemmi-Con!

If you have any questions, please contact filk@pemmi-con.ca.

Laurie E. Smith is a Winnipeg Big Name Fan who’ll be running several programming items over the three very full days of Pemmi-Con — including the Live Badfic Reading, the “Freya’s Fabulous Birthday Bash” animal charity fundraiser, the Archeologist Game, and more! So come to Pemmi-Con ready to have a LOT of fun!
