Volunteering

Pemmi-Con is not-for-profit and volunteer run. Everyone on the Pemmi-Con committee is a volunteer, and we hope you will join us. There are roles for everyone, from new fans to wizened SMOFs.

We are looking for volunteers prior to and at the convention. All volunteers attending the convention will need to purchase a membership. However, if you cannot attend the convention, there are still tasks that need to be done prior and we would love to have help from those who wish to do so. Following are some of the open positions.

Logistics

Pemmi-Con has a small mountain of stuff that needs to be stored and moved to where it is needed. Winnipeg local fans with logistics experience are especially encouraged to volunteer for logistics.

Hospitality

Hospitality creates a friendly and welcoming space for members to relax and converse. Winnipeg local fans with hospitality experience are especially encouraged to volunteer for hospitality.

Hybrid Programme

Pemmi-Con will have a hybrid programme with people interacting both onsite and online. Volunteers are needed to facilitate the interaction. We also need tech staff to keep everything running.

The newsletter will be publishing throughout the convention. If you enjoy writing, drawing, or editing, volunteering for the newsletter is a great way to enjoy the convention and exercise your creativity at the same time.

Masquerade

As an usher or back-stage “ninja”, help make the masquerade a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

Volunteer Coordinator
